Hours and Tariffs

The Nerja Caves are open every day of the year except on January 1st (New Year’s Day) and May 15th (Romeria de San Isidro).

Opening Times

Winter

10:00 – 13:00
16:00 – 18:30

Summer (July and August)

10:00 – 19:30

During the annual ‘Festival of Music and Dance’ held at the Nerja Caves during the second week of July, the opening times are 10:00 to 18:00.

Tariffs

General Visit

The general visit begins with the screening of an audiovisual presentation in which you will be able to see details of the cave (10 minutes). This is followed by an audio-guided visit through the different chambers of the Cave, lasting about 45 minutes. The audio guide is in Spanish, English, German, French, Italian and Russian.

Children aged 6 years to 12 years: €6.00
Children under 6 years: Free

Basic Visit

The basic visit does not include the presentation or audio guides.

Adults: €9.00
Children aged 6 years to 12 years: €5.00
Children under 6 years: Free
Seniors: €4.50

Special Tour

Group visits (máximum of 50 people) with Miguel Joven, actor from the famous television series Verano Azul. The tour lasts 60 minutes and is in Spanish, English and German

These tours are available Tuesday to Sunday at 18:30 hours, except in July and August when it will be at 19:30 hours. Advance booking is essential.

Entry fees can only be paid in cash.

On Sunday mornings throughout the year, entry to the Nerja Caves is free for residents of Nerja. Proof of residency must be shown.

Nerja History Museum

The Nerja History Museum is open every day of the year except on January 1st (New Year’s Day) and May 15th (Romeria de San Isidro).

Combined Nerja Caves + Nerja History Museum visit: €11.00

Entry fees can only be paid in cash.

There is free entry to the Nerja History Museum on the following days:

Día de Andalucía (February 28th)
Día Internacional de los Museos (May 18th)
Día Mundial del Turismo (September 27th)
Día Jornadas Europeas de Patrimonio

On Sunday evenings throughout the year, entry to the Nerja History Museum is free for EU passport holders.
